Sales Pipeline

Sales pipeline offers a complete visual representation of where new leads are in the sales funnel stages, such as awareness (prospecting and lead qualification), interaction (demo meeting and follow-up calls), interest (proposal and negotiation), and action (deal finalization and close). It also recommends actions sales reps should take to convert a lead into a customer.

Sales Pipeline: A set of stages that prospects move through from being a new lead to a customer. Additionally, sales pipeline, not to be confused with sales funnel, is based on the actions taken by salespeople to qualify, nurture, and close a deal. Generally, across industries, there are four basic sales pipeline stages:
  1. Qualification
  2. Meeting
  3. Proposal
  4. Closing
