"Metaverse" refers to a collective virtual shared space with humans and AI avatars, created by the convergence of virtually enhanced physical reality and physically persistent virtual space, both of which are enabled by specialized headsets and digital spaces. Metaverse includes the sum of all virtual worlds, augmented reality, and sometimes describes a future version of the internet that is more immersive and interactive.

In the metaverse, users can interact with each other and with virtual objects and environments in real time through specialized headsets (e.g. Oculus or Google devices). In this virtual world users are not tied to any specific location, and it can be accessed from anywhere with an internet connection. The metaverse is often described as a place where people can live, work, and play, and it has the potential to fundamentally change the way we live and interact.

Some companies like Microsoft and Meta are already showing the potential for transforming business workflows including for sales and revenue teams. Companies like Aviso are focused on exploring virtual and augmented reality technologies to bring the metaverse for the world of sales, marketing, customer success and related teams.
